Manna’s kitchen operates similar to a “soup kitchen” but with a much more extensive meals program.

Manna provides meals to the homeless through it’s Hot ‘n’ Healthy Meals Program which has grown to be Perth’s largest humanitarian food outlet of meals to the homeless and disadvantaged. .

Manna serves soup, a main meal (with cooked vegies/salad), plus a dessert and a drink five days a week (Monday to Friday).   The meals are prepared fresh every morning and handed out free to the Homeless at 1:30pm in the park at Weld Square near the Perth city.   This is all provided with no expectation from the ‘streeties’ that they have to contribute financially.

Unfortunately the numbers of homeless we feed continues to grow which means an every-increasing need for more resources.

We estimate that annually over 90,000 meals will be distributed to the disadvantaged of Perth.   Each day teams of up to ten Manna volunteers prepare hundreds of Hot ’n’ Healthy meals which are then taken to an inner city park.

At present about 250 men, women and children gather at the park to receive their three-course meal – their only meal of the day in many cases.     Manna’s clients range from children through to the elderly.

Manna volunteers distribute meals from the Manna van or set up tables around the van so they can interact with the homeless.  Both options work well for our clients and our volunteers.
